Welcome to my website. For those of
you who don't know me let me take a minute and introduce myself. My name
is Jim Blake, I am 34 years old and I am an Internet geek. I currently
work for Merrill Lynch and spend my off hours tweaking with my webservers
that I have named after gangster rappers for unknown reasons. I've had
these web servers for about 15 years now (pretty much since the begining
of the .com age) and have always kept a portion of them set aside for
personal use. I publish all my ponderings and resources that I find useful
here. I think the greatest thing about the Internet is the ability to
easily share information ...and so I share as much information with the
world as I can. If you find anything on this site that is of interests
to you please drop me a line and share a little about yourself too.

New Job
I have recently changed positions at work and I now officially work in the technology organization (but still on the business side). This past week I finally had a chance to meet my new team in New Jersey, which I was pretty excited about. I’ve had many meetings over the phone with the new team, but it was nice to meet everybody and finally put faces to names. There was a welcome lunch and a welcome dinner and many, many meetings to get in front of as many people as possible during the short week I was back east. Then, the week ended with the wedding of my friend Jen, which also took place in New Jersey (though I was in no way scheduling my work trip around the wedding to cut costs).
