Characteristics of the Lines

Generally speaking, the characteristics of the undivided and the divided lines are as follows:

Undivided

Strong, Virtuous, Light-giving, Aggressive

Divided

Weak, Evil, Dark, Gentle

The characteristics of either kind of line can be modified by the meaning of the kua, but such modifications will always be stated in the kua.
